Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer who is passionate about building innovative solutions using PHP and Laravel. You’ll join our dynamic tech team, where you'll have the chance to develop new features, work on complex problem-solving, and be involved in the full software development life cycle. This position is perfect for someone who is eager to grow and learn in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Software Development
- Assist in building, testing, and maintaining scalable web applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Collaborate with senior developers to design and implement RESTful APIs that integrate with external systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using best development practices.
2. Database Management
- Work with MySQL databases, including writing optimized queries and managing database structures.
- Perform routine database maintenance and help improve database performance.
3. Frontend Integration
- Integrate frontend elements with server-side logic using AJAX and Laravel Blade templates.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless user experiences.
4. Bug Fixing and Support
- Identify and troubleshoot bugs in the existing codebase.
- Provide support for the software and troubleshoot issues raised by users.
5. Collaborative Development
- Participate in code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and team meetings to continuously improve software quality and development processes.
- Assist in documenting code, creating technical documentation, and sharing knowledge with team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or currently enrolled) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of PHP, Laravel, RESTful API, MySQL, and AJAX.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and improving skills.
